Cavities
​
Banning sugar from your diet is like telling a bird to stop flying. It’s simply impossible to avoid in today’s world, but a negative repercussion of this diet habit is a cavity. When bacteria eats away at the minerals of your tooth, a hole develops, which is called a cavity. And while we believe everything in moderation, we understand that sweet treats are hard to resist. That’s why we offer a few different services to take care of cavities. These services include fillings, root canals and crowns. It’s important to catch cavities as soon as they form, which is why two cleanings a year are advised.
Cracked Tooth

Pain on biting. A lot of the times is a symptoms of microcrack that happened in the tooth. The symptoms need proper diagnosis and treatment.
If you have a cracked tooth, please call us at (212) 673-3700 immediately. This is an emergency dental situation that requires direct attention. We will do our best to accommodate you straightaway and restore your cracked tooth with a filling or a crown.
Fillings
​
When bacteria enter the tooth and attempts to decay it, that’s our cue to fill the tooth. A filling is a preventative measure that works against further decay of the tooth by filling the space with tooth-colored materials or porcelain onlays. We never use mercury for fillings in order to ensure a “green” dental practice. To deter future cavities from forming, we use fluoride and sealants and advise a healthy oral regimen at home for the best dental upkeep
Bonding
​
For patients who have a deep cavity, discolored or chipped tooth, bonding is a procedure where a natural-looking tooth made out of glass and plastic replaces the damaged tooth using a high intensity UV light. The procedure is also used for other tooth-colored cosmetic restorations such as filling in gaps.
Veneers
​
To achieve a whiter and straighter smile, we recommend veneers. A veneer is a super-thin piece of porcelain that is bonded to the front of your natural tooth using safe adhesive technology. We recommend veneers for the upper front row of your teeth, and sometimes the lower. From start to finish, we work with you every step of the way to ensure the best possible outcome.
Ozone Dental Treatment

During a routine check-up, your dentist will tell you to spit, bite down, open your mouth, and more. But a newer term that might strike your ear is Ozone. This new treatment is simply a tri-atomic oxygen particle that is effective and safe, and can be used in a liquid form (ozonated water) or gas form. One example of how Ozone Therapy can be used is in Periodontal Disease. By using ozonated water to flush below the gum line, Ozone can be used to help treat periodontal disease. The same is true of root canals. Ozone can be used to kill bacteria and promote faster healing.
Laser Dentistry

Used for all procedures requiring minimal anesthesia, less tooth reduction and faster recovery, laser dentistry is the latest dental technology that’s minimally invasive.
Biological Treatments

With every procedure and dental service, we exert the utmost safety and professionalism so all of our patients feel comfortable and relaxed. This means we don’t use any silver or acrylic materials and steer away from Chlorine. Extractions​
In the event a tooth needs to be removed, we use the latest technologies including lasers, to ensure you have the most pleasant experience possible. Our entire staff will do our best to accommodate you before, during and after the procedure.
Implants
​
Implants are titanium cylinders that are used to replace the root of any missing teeth. This surgical procedure involves placing cylinder implants into the jawbone. For proper healing, they are covered for several months before an abutment and crown are placed. To properly prepare for implants, we schedule pre-surgical appointments, and in some cases require medical clearance from your MD. A sufficient amount of bone is necessary for a successful procedure. Therefore, we take plenty of x-rays (radiographs) for verification. If not enough bone is present, we may advise a grafting procedure with an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Bone Graft
​
Adjunct to oral surgery and implants, a bone graft is a surgical procedure that allows proper regeneration and healing.
Crowns
​
In the event where a tooth that has been so damaged that it can't support a filling, we restore the tooth using a crown. A crown is a porcelain replica of the tooth that covers the entire tooth. Other materials can be used for the crown depending on the patient’s preferences, however, we advise porcelain because it is the best color fit to a natural tooth than any other crown option. Whether you need to protect a weak tooth, hold a bridge in place or want to make a cosmetic adjustment, we provide a personalized consultation for all of your crown procedure needs.
Bridges
​
For patients experiencing a gap in their teeth due to a missing tooth or teeth, we provide a service for bridges. A dental bridge is comprised of two crowns where one crown is placed on one side of the tooth on one side of the gap, with the other crown placed on the opposite side. In between the crowns, we insert a false tooth so your full smile is returned and you can continue to enjoy a healthy oral lifestyle.
Inlays & Onlays
​
If you have a tooth where more than 50% of it is missing and the decay is too advanced to treat with a filling, we conduct a procedure for an inlay, onlay or all-porcelain crown. Depending on your unique situation, our experienced dentists will work with you to assess what the best option for you is. In preparation of your visit, we’d like to inform you that inlays and onlays are pieces comprised of gold, composite resin or porcelain that are bonded to the part of the tooth that is damaged, in order to help reconstruct the tooth. For inlays and onlays, we require two appointments to properly complete the procedure. At your fist appointment, the tooth is prepared for the inlay or onlay, and an impression of the tooth is conducted to assure that the fit and bite are expertly customized. Until your next appointment, we will proceed with a temporary restoration on the tooth. During your final appointment, we will remove the temporary restoration and test the inlay or onlay to ensure it fits correctly. Finally, the inlay or onlay is bonded to the tooth and polished so your smile is as beautiful and as bright as ever.
Root Canal​
​
After a severe crack or chip in the tooth, advanced decaying of the tooth, or a strong infection, a root canal procedure is necessary. To avoid further destruction to the teeth, a root canal will take place over two sessions and involve the removal of the damaged tooth. In the first appointment, one of our dentists will help you relax before drilling a small hole into the infected tooth pulp and expertly removing it. To kill bacteria, medication will be inserted and a filling will be placed temporarily. During your second visit, we will remove the temporary filling, clean the area of any remaining infection and then permanently fill the tooth. Because a root canal is an invasive procedure, the tooth oftentimes requires complete restoration, most commonly being a crown.
Dentures
​
For patients in need of dentures after the infected teeth have been removed and the gum tissue is healthy, we offer options to suit your personal dental needs. Complete dentures, removable replacements for missing teeth and surrounding tissues, are provided when every tooth is missing, while the partial dentures service is used when there are natural teeth remaining. Dentures are custom made to fit easily and comfortably, and we use a new generation of soft denture materials that blend in seamlessly for a picture-perfect smile.
Bite Analysis

Maintaining a healthy balance in the mouth is a key factor in preventative care, such as tooth fractures, as well as joint and muscle pain in the head and neck. To keep everything in proper alignment, we perform a computerized bite analysis using a T-Scan.
Invisalign
​
First, there were braces. Now, there’s Invisalign, an advanced orthodontics system that straightens teeth and controls tooth movement using clear aligners that won’t affect your social life. To achieve your most beautiful smile, we take a mold of your mouth, scan it into a computer and tailor a treatment specifically designed for you. To straighten your teeth in as little time as possible, you will wear the aligners for two weeks at a time until completion of the series. Whitening & Bleaching

Anesthesia
​
For patient comfort and safety, we provide anesthesia. This is used to prevent pain in your mouth during treatment by numbing tissues in the mouth that transmit pain. If you are prone to sensitivity in the mouth, you may require a topical anesthetic, while more invasive procedures require an injectable anesthetic.
Homecare Instructions
​
To keep teeth and gums healthy, we recommend using gum picks by GUM. These soft rubber tips are perfect for cleaning in between teeth. Flossing should be done daily, so we recommend Reach Total Care by Johnson and Johnson because the floss is soaked in mouthwash for an extra clean taste. With so many toothpastes available, we help narrow it down by recommending a right toothpaste for your mouth, like a three-in-one Fluoridex that includes a fluoride treatment and super-strength desensitizer. And of course, with your toothbrush being an essential tool, we believe Sonicare! Toothbrushes provide the most extensive coverage in the mouth.
